Sausalito™ is a fantastic value for such a heavy weight, 100% cotton canvas. The rugged canvas and substantial tooth provides a paint gripping surface for heavy paint applications, and impasto. Sized and double primed, the impervious coating protects the canvas from the paint leaching through, which can be caustic to the raw fabric over time.

Each canvas panel is meticulously handmade and inspected to stringent quality standards. We use MDF Engineered Wood, the most stable composite material available, and prime it four times before mounting the canvas using our pH balanced PVA. The back is covered with vinyl creating a double-sided impervious moisture barrier for improved stability. And with our unique process, we stress relieve each panel which keeps it as flat as possible.
