This highly absorbent ground is for oil based paints only. The super smooth tooth is excellent for fine detail work and your paint flows effortlessly across this beautiful canvas. Sanding between sizing and primer yields an even surface and a rich painting experience. Resistant to cracking and disintegration, linen retains its natural oils, and remains flexible over time. Each canvas panel is meticulously handmade and inspected to stringent quality standards. We use MDF Engineered Wood, the most stable composite material available, and prime it four times before mounting the canvas using our pH balanced PVA. The back is covered with vinyl creating a double-sided impervious moisture barrier for improved stability. And with our unique process, we stress relieve each panel which keeps it as flat as possible.
